Mina Kära Vänner

Last day, it's here. At this point it goes without saying that this spring has been incredible. And as I've said, my expectations were high, but the whole experience was so much more - so much better. That is because of the people I got to know here. I want to take a moment and tell you something about these amazing people who have made me laugh like never before and who will have special place in my heart.

Marvil makes my whole body smile. When he enters the room, anything can happen -and will! Marvil inspires me, he really knows what he wants to do and does that with the greatest passion. His creativity and, lets say, craziness are in their very own level! He is also very open, easy to talk to, warm and supportive. He has encouraged me throughout this exchange and made me believe in myself.

Molnia -what a laughter and energy!! Seriously, I don't get how this superwoman survives -she's always one of the last ones to go to bed after partying and the one who wakes up early and goes to work. TO WORK. Molnia is always in a good mood and makes people around her feel happy and cozy. Her enthusiasm is enviable, and she definitely knows how to flirt -and give a lapdance!

Claus, cutest Claus. He is so compassionate and good listener and able to sense people's feelings and moods very easily. Claus has supported me probably without even noticing it, but his presence has meant a lot to me. Claus is also very honest -he says what he thinks and I admire that. I will miss his smiling eyes and the way he says my name :D

Mysterious Markel with The Glasses ;)

Markel is the musician of the group. He keeps good mood alive or creates it out of nothing! He has some inner groove, rhythm in his veins and he brings music everywhere he goes. He is warm and caring but in a very cool and easy-going way! Markel's open-mindedness has impressed me over and over again. He makes me feel safe and comfortable.

Corentin chilling!

I think Corentin lives his life with huge passion and enthusiasm, even if it doesn't show on his face! He's always up for doing some(ANY)thing and also always making sure that everyone is okay. He is trustworthy and his presence is very calming. Corentin has his very own way of being and I love it! He has made me feel good about myself and trust to the future.

Nadine, always a wanted guest!

Nadine is strong. Nadine is THE leader. Nadine is AWESOME! She has the greatest voice and brightest mind and I really wish there were more people like her, world needs more Nadines! She has given me power, inspiration and motivation to work against injustice and patriarchy. At the same time she has supported me by being present when I've felt miserable. I admire her so much.

Pia had a birthday!

Pia is one of the first people I remember starting talk to! Her eyes were so friendly that I knew this is a good person. She is very responsible, peace-loving and calm - the very opposite of me (except this calm-part, although I think our ways of calmness are different as well :D)! It has been a pleasure to share thoughts with someone who has different kinds of experiences in life and so much some kind of
deep knowledge - wisdom I would say. I really wish to meet her again and sit down and talk. I didn't have a chance to say goodbye :(

Dana has the best style; best colors, best accessories, everything! I love her spirit and silent confidence that is there but doesn't come out loudly. She is my endless source of information when it comes to movies - I think she even thinks in movie-language :D Dana is sensitive and loving and I feel good and comfortable when she's around. She does what she promises, I can trust her. Our shared love is Moomins, and I can't wait to watch it together sometime!

Dana's boyfriend Peter has also made me laugh thousands of times - he's a showman, great performer and story-teller! I will miss those passionate conversations about Gilmore Girls and Girls :D Wish that they both visit me in Finland, as soon as possible!

Emma ready for pillow fight!

Emma. My amazing roommate, the biggest supporter and the one who have seen the best and worst of me. Emma has become very close to me in these months, and she has made me realize new things about myself as well. Her many striking comments about very various subjects have amazed me over and over again, she is very clever. She pushes herself to exceed herself in many different levels and still seems so balanced and focused all the time. I admire her perseverance, thirst for knowledge and acuity. She senses both her own and other people's feelings quite strongly, I would say. At least I've felt that she knows when I have something in mind, and it has been important :)

I can't praise enough how well we have got along in these 20 square meters, I've felt relaxed and safe and also that I have my own space, as I should feel in home. I am so grateful that I could share this whole experience with such a great person. We will stay in contact, I really wish!

Alma Awesome - Awesome Alma

And then, of course, there's Alma. My best friend, my who-to-call-to, my party-animal-partner and so on. Alma has undoubtedly influenced me most, hanged out with me most, shared most events and parties and sleep-overs and everything. She has pushed me (nicely) to do new things, encouraged me to try harder, challenged my thoughts and opinions and just made me sooo happy and glad! Alma is an open, caring, funny, multi-talented person. She makes everyone laugh and feel good about themselves, if they deserve that! I love that she always defends her friends and what is right and doesn't hesitate to tell people if they say or do something that is not appreciated. I have so many lessons to learn from her about how to cut the shit and fight back when someone's trying to push me down or treats me badly! And those people who she likes and respects will hear it from her, she shows her feelings in many lovely ways. She has made me feel special. She has made me feel alive.

I could also tell about so many other people. Like the sweetest Ola who dances ballet and studies children's books, or Ioana who has endless amount of stories to tell. Lieneke has been present in many great moments and so have the always-smiling guys Kai and Pascal and GORGEOUS Jasmine! I should say something about really nice Rudi who likes to keep himself busy, and Mira who has a great sense of humor! I could tell about Johan who tells a lot of jokes, about Jonatan who knows all the best restaurants and night life -places, about improvisation master John, and Morlin, a great feminist activist! I should also mention Zebastian, Sara, Ioana, Stella and Marie Kristine who I really enjoyed studying with, and Oscar who is so kind and bright I really wish I had spent more time with him! So many great people, so many great stories. But since it is almost 4am, I'm finally going to shut the lights and go to bed (and stop disturbing Emma!).

As a last thing (tonight) I just want to say that I am so lucky to know all these awesome people, and so many more. I feel so blessed, so privileged, so happy. Thank you all. I hope you know how much you mean to me.
